Corzine hires criminal counsel

Jon Corzine this morning resigned as chairman and CEO of failed brokerage firm MF Global. In a press release, he said: "This was a difficult decision, but one that I believe is best for the firm and its stakeholders."

In related news, the New York Times is reporting that Corzine has hired criminal defense attorney Andrew Levander. Seems he might be worried about FBI and SEC investigations into co-mingled and/or missing client funds. We previously suspected that he'd seek criminal counsel, and yesterday I discussed the issue on CNBC. Here's the video:
