Apple has acquired Chomp, a San Francisco-based app search startup, for approximately $50 million. The deal was first reported by TechCrunch. Chomp had raised under $3 million in VC funding from groups like SV Angel, Felicis Ventures and BlueRun Ventures. www.chomp.com

Kenneth Cole Productions (NYSE: KCP) has received a $15 per share take-private offer from company chairman and founder Kenneth Cole, who currently holds a 47% ownership stake. The deal represents a 15% premium to yesterday's closing stock price, and would value the total clothing and accessories company at around $280 million. www.kennethcole.com

Mead Johnson and Danone are partnering on a bid for Pfizer's infant nutrition unit, putting them in according to Reuters. The deal is expected to be worth around $10 billion, with Nestle also expected to make an offer. www.pfizer.com
