HouseTrip.com, a London-based holiday rental websites, has raised $40 million in Series C funding.Accel Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Balderton Capital and Index Ventures.www.housetrip.com

Zenoss Inc., an Austin, Texas-based provider of unified IT operations software, has raised $25 million in Series C funding. Summit Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Grotech Ventures, Intersouth Partners and Boulder Ventures. www.zenoss.com

LoneStar Heart Inc. of San Francisco has secured $20 million in milestone-based equity investments led by Themes Investment Partners (Hong Kong). LoneStar has developed a self-gelling biopolymer implanted into the heart's left ventricle during surgery for the treatment of advanced heart failure.www.lonestarheartinc.com

Gliknik Inc., a Baltimore-based drug company focused on cancer and inflammatory/immune diseases, has raised $4.9 million in Series B funding led by Baxter Ventureswww.gliknik.com

Anametrix, a San Diego-based provider of big data analytics to marketers, has raised $4.4 million in Series A funding led by TVC Capitalwww.anametrix.com

Freespee, a European provider of mobile click-to-call advertising and analytics, has raised €3.3 million in new VC funding led by Sunstone Capitalwww.freespee.com

FSAstore.com, a New York-based ecommerce site for flexible spending account-eligible products and services, has raised more than $2 million in second-round funding. Originate Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Point Judith Capital and Columbia Business School Lang Fund.www.fsastore.com

ThingWorx, an Exton, Penn.-based application development platform, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series C funding led by Safeguard Scientificswww.thingworx.com
