McKesson Corp. (NYSE: MCCK) has agreed to acquire Jacksonville, Fla.–based medical products distributor PSS World Medical (Nasdaq: PSSI) for $1.46 billion in cash, or $29 per share (34% premium to yesterday's closing price). www.mckesson.com

Yelp Inc. (NYSE: YELP) has acquired Qype, a European local review site. The deal is valued at approximately $50 million, including around €18.6 million in cash and 970,000 shares of Yelp stock. Qype has raised VC funding from firms like Advent Venture Partners, Federal Finance, Oddo Asset Management, Partech International, Truffle Capital, Vodafone Ventures and Wellington Partners.www.yelp.com

Actuate Corp. (Nasdaq: BIRT) has acquired Quiterian, a Spain-based provider of virtual data mining, social media analytics and predictive analytics. No financial terms were disclosed. www.Quiterian.com

KDDI Corp. and Sumitomo Corp. have agreed to acquire the 30% stake they do not already own in listed Japanese cable operator Juniper Telecommunications, for approximately $2.7 billion. www.jcom.co.jp

J.C. Flowers & Co. has canceled the sale process for Dresher, Penn.-based portfolio company Ascensus (f.k.a. Bisys Retirement Services), according to peHUB. Morgan Stanley had been running the process, which had been expected to garner bids in excess of $300 million. www.ascensus.com

Leica Biosystems has acquired Aperio Technologies, a Vista, Calif.–based provider of epathology solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. Aperio had raised over $20 million in VC funding from firms like Acadia Woods Partners, Advanced Technology Ventures, BlackRock, Dako, Galen Partners and HLM Venture Partners. www.aperio.com

Ratos AB has agreed to sell Stofa, a Danish provider of broadband and other communications services, to Syd Energi for approximately $331 million. www.ratos.se

Telefonica Digital has acquired TokBox, a San Francisco-based provider of streaming video conferencing via the Web. No financial terms were disclosed. TokBox had raised around $26 million in VC funding from Bain Capital Ventures, DAG Ventures and Sequoia Capital. www.tokbox.com
