EarlySense Ltd., a provider of patient monitoring solutions, has raised $15 million in Series E funding.Pitango Venture Capital led the round, and was joined by return backers JK&B, ProSeed VC Fund, Docor International Management and Bridge Investment Fund. The company is based in Israel, with a U.S. headquarters in Waltham, Mass. www.earlysense.com

Visterra Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based developer of drugs for infectious diseases like seasonal and pandemic influenza, has raised $13 million in new Series A funding. The total round now stands at $26 million. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Omega Funds were joined by return backers Polaris Venture Partners, Flagship Ventures and Lux Capital. www.visterrainc.com

Intronis Inc., a Boston–based provider of cloud backup solutions for the IT channel, has raised $12 million in new VC funding. Greenspring Associates led the round, and was joined by return backer OpenView Venture Partners. www.intronis.com

YPX Cayman Holdings Co. Ltd., a Taiwanese quick-service restaurant chain, has raised $11.5 million in new VC funding. LionRock Capital led the round, and was joined by Qiming Venture Partners and Ignition Capital. www.ypxfood.com

DoubleDutch, a San Francisco–based provider of mobile engagement apps for events and enterprise workgroups, has raised $4 million in Series B funding. Floodgate led the round, and was joined by return backers Bullpen Capital and Lightbank. www.doubledutch.com

TRX Systems Inc., a Greenbelt, Md.–based developer of personnel tracking systems, has raised $2 million in Series A funding. Backers include Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, New Dominion Angels and the Maryland Department of Economic Development. www.trxsystems.com
