Pearl Therapeutics Inc., a Redwood City, Calif.-based developer of therapeutics for respiratory diseases, has raised $65 million in Series D funding. Vatera Healthcare Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers 5AM Ventures, Clarus Ventures and New Leaf Ventures.www.pearltherapeutics.com

, a Hackensack, N.J.-based provider of portable video-over-cellular solutions, has raised $27 million in new VC funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Canaan Partners, Carmel Ventures and Pitango Venture Capital. Xtime Inc.
, a Redwood Shores, Calif.-based provider of a cloud-based CRM and scheduling platform for the automotive service industry, has raised $23 million in second-round funding. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by Lumia Capital and return backers RPM Ventures and Saints Capital. www.xtime.com

, a San Mateo, Calif.-based in-memory business intelligence for Hadoop and big data, has raised $20 million in Series B funding. Battery Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Andreessen Horowitz and Sutter Hill Ventures. www.platfora.com

Epic Sciences Inc., a San Diego-based, has raised $13 million in Series B funding. New investors include Domain Associates, Roche Venture Fund and Pfizer Venture Investments.www.epicsciences.com

Swrve
, a real-time feedback platform on social and mobile gamer behavior for game developers, has raised $6.25 million in new VC funding co-led by Atlantic Bridge Partners and Intel Capital, according toVentureBeat.www.swrve.com

Dogvacay.com
, a community where users can have their dogs boarded in real home settings (i.e., not kennels), has raised $6 million in new VC funding from Benchmark Capital. The company previously raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Andreessen Horowitz, First Round Capital, Science Ventures and Baroda Ventures. www.dogvacay.com

Risk I/O
, a Chicago-based vulnerability intelligence platform, has raised $5.25 million in Series A funding. U.S. Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by Tugboat Ventures and Costanoa Venture Partners. www.risk.io

Avexxin AS, a Norwegian developer of therapeutics for chronic inflammatory conditions, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series B funding. www.avexxin.com
