Audax Group has acquired Thalheimer Brothers Inc., a Philadelphia-based non-ferrous scrap metal processor of brass, copper, nickel alloy, and stainless steel selling to foundries, refiners and mills. No financial terms were disclosed.www.thalheimerbrothers.com

Crestview Partners has acquired NEP Broadcasting, a Pittsburgh–based provider of outsourced teleproduction services for the delivery of live sports and entertainment events, from American Securities. No financial terms were disclosed. www.nepinc.com

Five Mile Capital Partners has acquired the Series B preferred shares it does not already own in Prime Group Realty Trust (OTC BB: PMGEP), a REIT focused on office and industrial real estate in metropolitan Chicago, for $7.3 million.www.pgrt.com

Prince Mineral Holding Corp., a portfolio company of Palladium Equity Partners, has acquired Grinding and Sizing Company LLC, a Lufkin, Texas-based processor, distributor and wholesale manufacturer of drilling fluid additives used in the oilfield services industry. No financial terms were disclosed.www.princeminerals.com

ShowPlex Cinemas, a portfolio company of private equity firm Trinity Hunt, has acquired Starplex Cinemas, a Dallas-based movie theater company with 22 locations and over 230 screens.www.starplexcinemas.com

SK Capital has agreed to acquire three business units of listed Swiss chemicals company Clariant AG, for approximately $550 million. The deal includes Clariant's textile chemicals, paper specialty chemicals and emulsions businesses. www.clariant.com
