Is the NBA ready for Steve Ballmer?

FORTUNE -- Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer reportedly is part of an investor group that will help bring basketball back to Seattle, by purchasing The Sacramento Kings and moving them 750 miles north.

Should be interesting to see the new club play the Portland Trailblazers, who are owned by Microsoft (MSFT) co-founder Paul Allen. Maybe Bill Gates can referee (probably no worse than most current NBA officials, and certainly not on the take).

Actually, strike that. The think I really want to see is Ballmer on the sidelines. If you think Mark Cuban is demonstrative, wait until fans see this inside of Key Arena next winter:
