Ivantis, an Irvine, Calif.-based developer of glaucoma treatments, has raised $27 million in a first closing of its Series B funding. Ascension Health Ventures led the round, and was joined by MemorialCare Innovation Fund and return backers Delphi Ventures and New Enterprise Associates. www.ivantisinc.com

42Floors, a San Francisco-based search engine for commercial real estate space, has raised $12.3 million in Series B funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round, and was joined by Columbus Nova Technology Partners and return backers Bessemer Venture Partners and Thrive Capital. www.42floors.com

TakeLessons, a San Diego-based online service marketplace for music lessons, has raised $4 million in new VC funding. Triangle Peak Partners led the round, and was joined by Siemer Ventures and return backers Crosslink Capital and SoftTech VC. www.takelessons.com

Blab Inc., a Seattle-based provider of predictive social intelligence solutions, has raised $1.5 million in VC funding led by Barry Lynn. www.blabpredicts.com
