Sycamore Partners has agreed to acquire retailer Hot Topic Inc. (Nasdaq: HOTT) for approximately $600 million, or $14 per share (30% premium over yesterday's closing price). www.hottopic.com

Hunter Valley Co. and The Vitruvian Group have acquired Radix Enterprises, a Euclid, Ohio-based manufacturer of electrical wire and cable for high-temperature applications. No financial terms were disclosed. www.radixenterprises.com

Phillips Feed & Pet Supply, an Easton, Penn.-based portfolio company of AEA Investors, has acquired Brentwood, N.Y.-based Royal Pet Supplies from Quarry Capital Management for an undisclosed amount. McColl Partners advised the sellers. www.phillipsfeed.com

Riverstone Holdings has agreed to acquire Utex Industries Inc., a Houston-based provider of custom engineered sealing products and solutions, from Rhone Capital. No financial terms were disclosed, although earlier reports were that bids were expected to be in the range of $700 million to $800 million. www.utexind.com

Sverica International has acquired Dexmet Corp., a Wallingford, Conn.-based maker of highly-engineered expanded foils and polymers, from MCM Capital Partners. No pricing terms were disclosed for the deal, which included leveraged financing from Abacus Finance Group and Avante Mezzanine Partners. www.dexmet.com
