PTC Therapeutics Inc., a South Plainfield, N.J.-based developer of drugs that target post-transcriptional control processes, has raised $60 million in new VC funding. Brookside Capital Partners Fund led the round, and was joined by Adage Capital Management, Jennison Associates, Longwood Fund and return backers Credit Suisse First Boston, HBM Healthcare Investments, Vulcan Capital, Celgene, Delphi Ventures, Novo A/S and The Column Group. www.ptcbio.com

Alloy Digital
, a New York-based operator of youth-focused websites and television channels, has raised $30 million in funding from ABS Capital Partners. Past backers include Zelnick Media and Fuse Capital.www.alloydigital.com

, a San Francisco-based music discovery app, has raised $1.25 million in new VC funding. Backers include AOL Ventures, Baseline Ventures, True Ventures and Guggenheim Venture Partners.www.tastemakerx.com
