wburA way to help in Boston

FORTUNE -- Hours after yesterday's terrible attacks, a group of Boston tech entrepreneurs and venture capitalists launched a fundraising drive.

They do not yet know exactly where all the money will go, although their immediate work has been with grass roots groups making sure affected families have hotels, food, etc. What I can tell you is that I know the individuals running this effort and they are honest, reputable folks. As of this writing, they already had raised more than $30,000.

This is where you might come in. We have created a dedicated page for Term Sheet readers, and the Silicon Valley venture capitalists at Data Collective have offered to match every $50 donation (up to $5,000). For more information and to donate, please go to: http://fundraise.com/termsheet

Thank you.

UPDATE: We already have surpassed the $5k in donations that were matched by Data Collective. Now Bulger Partners, an investment bank located just blocks from the finish line, is matching the next $5k.
