CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA) has agreed to acquire Layer 7 Technologies, a Vancouver–based provider of application programming interface management and security. No financial terms were disclosed. Layer 7 backers include BDC Venture Capital, GrowthWorks and Shoreline Venture Management. www.layer7tech.com

CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA) has acquired Nolio, an Israeli provider of application service automation solutions for managing data center applications. No financial terms were disclosed. Nolio had raised VC funding from Blumberg Capital, Cedar Fund and Iris Ventures. www.noliosoft.com

Jackrabbit Inc., a Ripon, Calif.-based maker of nut harvesting equipment, has raised $17.7 million in private equity and debt funding from Gladstone Investment Corp. (Nasdaq: GAIN). www.jackrabbit.bz

Vector Capital has agreed to sell RAE Systems Inc., a San Jose, Calif.-based–based provider of gas and radiation detection systems, to Honeywell Inc. (NYSE: HON) for $340 million in cash. Vector took RAE private in 2011 for $134 million. www.raesystems.com
