Arsenal Capital Partners has acquired Arnco, a Southgate, Calif.–based supplier of polyurethane products. No financial terms were disclosed. www.arnconet.com

Bain Capital and Golden Gate Capital are now the lead bidder for BMC Software (Nasdaq: BMC), according to Reuters. The deal is expected to be valued at more than $6.5 billion, with a rival consortium comprised of KKR, TPG Capital and Thoma Bravo. www.bmc.com

Confie Seguros, a personal insurance company focused on Hispanic consumers, has acquiredCapital Insurance Agency (Trenton, NJ). No financial terms were disclosed. www.confieseguros.com

Quantum Energy Partners has acquired a majority stake in Carmel Bay Exploration Ltd., a Calgary-based upstream exploration and development company focused on acquiring and developing assets in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. No financial terms were disclosed.www.quantumep.com
