Deutsche Telekom has completed the $1.5 billion merger of its T-Mobile unit and MetroPCS. The combined mobile carrier now is trading on the NYSE under ticker symbol TMUS. www.metropcs.com

Google has led a $125 million secondary investment into Lending Club, alongside Foundation Capital. The deal will give Google a minority stake in the P2P lending marketplace, and will be done via purchases of shares from existing investors. As part of the deal, Googler David Lawee will take an observer seat on the board. Lending Club previously raised over $100 million from firms like Foundation, Canaan Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, UnionSquare Ventures, Morgenthaler Ventures and Kleiner Perkins. Read more.
