123 LumpSum Holdings, a Hallandale Beach, Fla.–based purchaser of secondary structured settlement transactions, has raised an undisclosed amount of private equity funding from GCP Capital Partners. Bryant Park Capital Securities served as placement agent. www.123lumpsum.com

The Beekman Group has sponsored a recapitalization of NorthStar Alarm Services, an Orem, Utah-based provider of residential security alarm installation and monitoring services. Company management participated on the deal, and will maintain a "significant ownership interest."www.thebeekmangroup.com

Altasciences Group, a Canadian clinical contract research organization, has acquired Vince andAssociates Clinical Research, an Overland Park, Kansas-based provider of clinical trial recruitment solutions, from Gryphon Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Altasciences shareholders include BMO Capital Partners and Kilmer Capital Partnerswww.altasciences.com

Brentwood Associates has completed dividend recaps for two portfolio companies: K-Mac HoldingsCorp. (via excess capacity in an existing $252m credit facility) and Paper Source Inc. (via a new $50m credit facility). K-Mac is the country's largest Taco Bell franchisee, while Paper Source is a Chicago-based multi-channel retailer of paper products. www.brentwood.com

Golden Equity Investments
 has acquired Goosecross Cellars, a Yountville, Calif.-based boutique luxury winery. No financial terms were disclosed. www.goosecross.com

Tactex F1 Private Equity Fund
 has sponsored a management buyout of Tick Data Inc., a Great Falls, Va.-based provider of historical intraday time series data for the equities, options and futures markets, from Penson Worldwide Inc. No financial terms were disclosed. www.tickdata.com
