Ex-Harvard private equity chief goes down underJune 17, 2013: 1:33 PM ET
Harvard's former private equity chief begins his next chapter.
FORTUNE -- Peter Dolan is picking up all sorts of part-time jobs in the two months since leaving Harvard Management Company, where he had managed the endowment's venture capital and private equity portfolio for 18 years.
First came word that he had agreed to work with Makena Capital as a senior advisor through year-end. Now we're hearing that he also has been named an advisor with MLC Private Equity, an Australian firm whose fund investment practice is led by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) vet John Brakey.
It remains to be seen where Dolan ultimately will land on a full-time basis. He was an outspoken advocate for limited partners while at Harvard -- a tact that earned him quiet praise among peers and even quieter animosity from certain general partners. He was shielded a bit from the latter due to his Harvard affiliation, so it will be interesting to see how he operates with a less protective business card.
