FORTUNE -- Venture capitalist Shirish Sathaye has quietly stepped down as a general partner with Khosla Ventures, Fortune has learned.

Sathaye joined Khosla Ventures three years ago, after nearly a decade as a general partner with Matrix Partners (where his first investment was in Aruba Networks).

His deals at Khosla have included Bidgely, Big Switch Networks, Kumu Networks, DB Networks, LightSail Energy, ParStream, NutaniX and TraceVector.

A firm spokeswoman confirmed that Sathaye's final day was last Friday. No word yet on his future plans, or if he will maintain his Khosla board seats.
